Bedside Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is a growing area of medicine. Especially for Emergency Physicians (EPs), POCUS is an indispensible part of patient care. Emergency Physicians Association of Turkey (EPAT) has organised lots of POCUS courses both inside Turkey and outside Turkey. We have given POCUS courses in India and Egypt with our partners Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI) and Egyptian Society for Emergency Medicine (EGSEM).

We organise a new POCUS course with our partner Jordanian Emergency Medicine Society (JEMS) in Jordan in 12-13 November 2019

On each day of the course, theoretical lectures will be given, then participants will have practical sessions. In practical sessions, participants will divide in two groups. Two of the faculty members with two ultrasound devices and two professional mannikins will give practical educations. Faculty member will perform POCUS first, and then all of the participants will perform POCUS on live mannikins one-by-one. Every participant will have a checklist for every practical session. The faculty member will evaluate the participant’s ability to perform POCUS with these checklists. The checklist will proof the participant’s attendance, also. At the start and the finish of the course, theoretical exams will be done to see the evolution of the participant. At the end, every participant will be requested to fulfil a feedback form about the course and faculty members.
